backup-manager software package provides command-line backup tool, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install backup-manager
backup-manager is installed in your system.
Make ensure the backup-manager package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep backup-manager *
You will get with backup-manager package name, version, architecture and description in a table
